Direction No.  05 / 2006 : - Constitution of Board of Studies.

 

 


 

WHEREAS Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act,1998                     ( Maharashtra X of 1999) has come into force w.e.f. 3rd June 1998.

 

AND

 

WHEREAS as per Section 32(2) of the Act, the University shall have such faculties as prescribed by statutes and as per Section 36(1) of the Act, there shall be a Board of Studies for every subject or group of subject as prescribed by statutes.

 

AND

 

WHEREAS there are no statutes in existence regarding constitution of Faculties and Boards of Studies as per Section 32(2) and 36(1).  The faculties have been constituted by Direction No. 2 of 1999 under the provision of Section 16 (8) of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act 1998.

 

AND

 

WHEREAS the necessary statutes are yet to be made; making of statute is time taking process;

 

          Now, therefore I, Dr. (Mrs.) M. A. Phadke , Vice-Chancellor of the University in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under sub-section 8 of Section 16 of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act 1998 issue the following  Directions:

 

 

 

1)              This Direction shall be called “Constitution of Boards of Studies”.

 

2)              It shall come into force with effect from the date of its issuance.

 

3)              With the issuance of this Direction, earlier Direction (01/2002) on the subject – matter stands repealed. 

 

4)              There shall be following Boards of Studies and the departments under each Board in various faculties.
