Sub. : Inviting faculty for MET Department

Dear Sir/Madam,

It is well recognized that the quality of medical education and evaluation of medicos depend upon our teaching abilities and techniques. It is also well accepted that MET training improves the teaching standards and in turn the society is benefited with better health care.

Considering these facts, the department of Medical Education Technology (MET) of MUHS, intends to train all the medical teachers in the state. The workshops for such a training (each of 2 weeks duration) will be held at MUHS, Nashik; its regional Centres as well as at affiliated colleges. To make this Herculean task possible, MUHS expects due   co-operation from you all. As the first step to create faculty list, each eligible teacher is invited to submit one’s information as a resource person. You are requested to submit the consent duly filled in the attached form within 15 days. For eligibility to be a resource person, a teacher must have teaching experience of minimum 10 years, should have minimum undergone an MET training of 10 days duration (full time) at any NTTC or equivalent; and preferably should have participated as a faculty in MET Workshops, before.

One may please mention his topic / area of interest in MET as well. The faculty from prepared list will be invited in turn by random selection to the workshops and will be paid TA/DA and honorarium as per University rules. Certificates will be issued to participating faculty at each workshop. Official duty leave for that particular period is permissible under MUHS regulation.

            Thanking you in anticipation.

Yours faithfully,
