As per MCI Rule Chapter II Rule 8 Note (c) :

Candidate needs to pass all subjects of III^rd Professional Part (I) Completely before appearing for III^rd Professional Part II Examination. A candidate cannot appear for both the Examinations simultaneously, consequently candidates of Third MBBS Part (II) who have backlog of any subjects of Third MBBS Part (I) can only appear for Third MBBS Part (I) Backlog subjects for ensuing examinations whereas appear afresh in subsequent examination after passing MBBS III (I) examination in all subjects. This statutory rule has been implemented vide Notification No. 17/2003 dated 22/07/2003 which has been upheld by the Hon'ble High Court, Aurangabad bench order on Writ Petition No. 2967/2003 dated 23/09/2003. Any examination form received, which is not in consonance with the above will be rejected and disciplinary action initiated against the respective student.

The Dean/Principals are therefore requested to inform the students and ensure strict compliance on the subject.
