The Main object of establishing this Health Sciences University is to ensure proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training and research in modern medicine and the Indian system of Medicine in the State of Maharashtra and to have a balanced growth in the medical sciences. The University also aims to have an uniformity in various courses in various medical faculties in the state.
